Susan Komen Walk for Breast Cancer

Below is a photo of my neighbor and her name is Karen. Karen is one of breast cancer's newest suvivors! Karen, I'm sure this was a hard road and my prayer will remain with you.
Way to go Karen!!!

WOW! What an experience this was. There were over 20,000 people in attendance supporting someone they knew that had either died of breast cancer, had breast cancer, or was a survivor. My heart will filled with joy and sorrow as I read the many (and very creative) t-shirts. I look forward to joining this event in 2009 with the new Mrs. New Jersey.

Sponsors Are Important!! Please support them!

Having a company sponsor a pageant contestant is important and extremely helpful for the pageant's growth. Thank you to these companies for their generosity in sponsoring my dream to become Mrs. New Jersey United States 2008. They are: Warm Spirit, Windsor Nissan, Concorde Limousine and ICON Media. I will work hard to promote these organizations and look forward to the continuance of these relationships. MANY THANKS!!

It's Hard to Put in Words!

How it feels when a dream comes true. What a wonderful experience it has been being Mrs. New Jersey United States 2008. Winning the crown was the beginning of many new firsts. All I knew about being a pageant winner was what I'd seen on television....well, that is not reality. Becoming Mrs. New Jersey United States 2008 has allowed me the opportunity to meet some really beautiful ladies (my pageant sisters!) such as Ceylone, Heather, Mary, Kim, Dani, Susan, Colleen, Carla, Loretta, Lynnette, Rachel, Regina, Storm, and many others. I thank you all for touching my life in a positive and rewarding way.

The New Jersey pageant directors, Michelle and Christopher, are absolutely wonderful! They are supportive, encouraging, warm and smart. Each moment with them has been an enjoyment. Thanks Michelle and Christopher for all you do. The send off brunch was awesome due to your vision. Many, many thanks!

John and Marcus (my husband and son) are totally surprised we've reached this summit in my pageant life. I do not believe they ever thought we'd be at this point in our lives. It's wonderful to share this experience with them. I am humble to the level of their support and encouragement.

Pandora, my captain! you know the rest - RIGHT?

Over the next nine months, I will continue to post my warm feelings about this experience and continue to thank everyone for being a part of my life.

There are many appearances upcoming. Thus far I've done about 20 and have loved each and every moment. There are 21 planned between now and the end of my reign and I'm sure more to be added to the list. Always wanting to promote the pageant and support my sponsors, I continually am looking for great opportunities to spread the word about heart disease awareness and prevention. So if you have a good opportunity, please do not hesitate to email me.

Once again, thank you to all who have supported this great adventure in my life.

Many Wonderful Memories

Visiting with the students at the Kreps Middle School was very rewarding. This was one of my first appearances as Mrs. New Jersey to promote my platform "Happy, Healthy and Wise" providing educational tools for preventing heart disease while speaking about career choices.
